Bottle Gourd / Dudhi (1kg)

Bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) – dudhi in Gujarati, lauki in Hindi – has pale-green skin and mild, juicy flesh. It is incredibly versatile: grate it into muthiya and thepla, cook it with chana dal or turn it into sweet dudhi halwa. Important: taste a small raw piece before cooking and do not use the gourd if it tastes bitter.
